After arguments, the learned counsel for the appellant states on instructions that without admitting any liability, but only with a view to satisfy its consumer, the appellant is willing to pay a sum of Rs. 50,000/- to the complainant/respondent.  The aforesaid amount has already been deposited with this Commission.  In view of the aforesaid statement, which is acceptable to the learned counsel for the respondent, the first appeal is disposed of with a direction that the amount of Rs. 50,000/-, which is lying deposited with this Commission shall be released to the complainant/respondent alongwith interest, if any which has accrued on that amount.

            Such payment shall be made within four weeks.
