FINAL ORDER
Sri Samaresh Kumar Mitra, Presiding Member.
This case has been filed by the complainant u/s 12 of C.P. Act, 1986 praying for passing an order directing the OP to reconnect the electric line of the complainant and compensation for Rs. 40,000/- for mental pain and agony.
Today is fixed for filing show cause by the complainant as to why the complaint should not be disposed of due to non-prosecution.
The complainant, without putting his signature on it, files a time petition casually praying for further time as before which is , in our opinion, not a show cause petition. So, the petition is rejected.
From the order sheets, it appears that the case is in hearing stage. The complainant has been dragging the case since 12.03.2015 without advancing argument. Several opportunities were given to the Complainant to make argument in his favour but only submitting adjournment petitions day after day, the complainant performs his duty. In our view, the complainant is not interest to proceed with this case.
Hence,
Ordered
that the Consumer Complaint No. 75/2014 be and the same is hereby dismissed for non -prosecution.
There will be no order as to cost.
Let a plain copy of this order be made available and be supplied free of cost, to each of the parties on contest in person, Ld. Advocate/Agent on record, by hand under proper acknowledgment / be sent forthwith under ordinary post to the concerned parties as per rules, for information and necessary action.
