ORDER

The record is put up today on the strength of one application been filed by the complainant and stated that he had already filed a petition dated 21/06/2024 i.e. on the date of filing for directing the OP to effect the electric service connection in the name of complainant (Sk. Fazla Rahaman) in place of Md. Mainuddin (previous consumer).

On the date of filing of this case, the complainant files another application U/S 38 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 for seeking interim relief is taken up for hearing and treating the same as M.A. Case No. 76/2024.

Perused the interim application and documents. Heard Ld. Advocate on behalf of complainant.

We find from the interim application and document that the complainant has already paid          Rs. 14519/- dated 01/08/2017, Rs. 3640/- on 29/11/2017 for outstanding bill in the name of Md. Mainuddin (previous consumer).

The complainant also paid Rs. 100/- dated 01/08/2017 for disconnection and reconnection charges vide receipt No. 128802849334. He also paid Rs. 5/- for application booklet dated 01/08/2017.

In this juncture without going into the merit of the case we think electricity is most essential part of the human life in present day situation. Moreover, the complainant apply new electricity connection for his domestic purpose.

We think ends of justice would be met up if the OP is directed to effect the electric service connection in the name of the complainant in place of Md. Mainuddin (previous consumer).

Hence, it is,

                        ORDERED,

                                                the petition dated 21/06/2024 filed by the complainant for effect the electric service connection in the name of the complainant in place of Md. Mainuddin (previous consumer) vide consumer ID No. 521146211 in the premises of the complainant i.e. M.A. Case No. 76/2024 is allowed without contest. No cost.

The OP/WBSEDCL is directed to effect the electric service connection in the name of the complainant in place of Md. Mainuddin (previous consumer) vide consumer ID No. 521146211 in the premises of the complainant within 15(Fifteen) days from this date of order.

The complainant is also directed to comply all the formalities as required by the OP/WBSEDCL.

Thus the M.A. Case No. 76/2024 is disposed of.

Fix.  12/08/2024 for S/R, appearance and W/V from/by the OP/WBSEDCL.

Copy of this order be supplied to the parties each at free of cost.
