Jogen Murmu,S/o Lt Ganesh Murmu filed a consumer case on 23 Aug 2022 against Station Manager, WBSEDCL,Rampurhat CCC in the Birbhum Consumer Court. The case no is MA/22/2022 and the judgment uploaded on 24 Aug 2022.
The complainant files hazira along with a petition with a prayer to restrain the electricity service connection in S.M.P of the petitioner being Consumer ID No. 501610254 and to give direction to the authority for sending current electricity bills as per consumption.
Perused the petition heard Ld. Advocate for the both sides.
Let the petition be treated and registered as M.A Case No. 22/2022.
On careful perusal of the content of the petition it appears that the complainant/petitioner stated that the service connection of his S.M.P has been disconnected by the OP/WBSEDCL since December 2021.
It is further stated that inspite of disconnection of the electricity connection in S.M.P of the petitioner being Consumer ID No. 501610254 the OP sending the electricity bill month by month as per consumption dated 23/06/2022.
It is further stated the OP Station Manager WBSEDCL, Rampurhat has sent bill dated 14/06/2022 amounting to Rs. 5,99,331/- with meter reading Consumed Unit 53 Only.
The petitioner also applied for a break up the bill in question dated 22/08/2022 and receipt No. 986.
It is further stated by the petitioner that the S.M.P is the only source to earn of his livelihood from his business and for that reason he prayed for restoration of electricity service connection in the S.M.P of the petitioner being Consumer ID No. 501610254.
On careful consideration of the facts and circumstance of the case as well as the balance of convenience and inconvenience of the same this Commission is of opinion that there is sufficient ground in favour of the petitioner to allow to considered his prayer favorably.
Hence, the petition is considered and allowed.
The OP/WBSEDCL is directed to restore the electricity connection in the S.M.P of the petitioner being Consumer ID No. 501610254 on payment of the 40% of the bill amount in question.

Ordered,
that the M.A Case No. 22/2022 dated 23/08/2022 is here by allowed in favour of
the petitioner and the OP/WBSEDCL is directed to restore the electricity connection in the S.M.P of the petitioner being Consumer ID No. 501610254 on payment of the 40% of the bill in question of Rs. 5,99,331 and also directed to send the current electricity bills as per accurate electricity consumption by the complainant/petitioner.
Thus the M.A Case No. 22/2022 is thus disposed of.
