Both parties filed hazira through advocate.

The case is fixed for argument.

After hearing arguments the Commission proceeds to dispose of the case as hereunder: -

The complainant’s case is that his father Sibaprasad Sarkar has a domestic electric connection bearing meter No.T1255501 (Consumer I/D No.23307800) and he has been regularly paying electric consumption bill from time to time. But he received the electric bill for the month of September to November, 2014 with the last reading shown as 2688 and current reading shown as 3248 but the Meter card shows that the last reading is 2952 and the current reading is as usual 3248. In spite of persuasion the O.P. did not correct such defective bill. Hence this case.

The O.P. contested the case by filing a written version contending inter alia that the electric bill as alleged has been properly prepared and the complainant is bound to pay the same.

                                                                                     -:Decision with reasons:-

The Commission has examined the facts of the case and the documents on record. It is clear from the Meter card as produced by the complainant that the previous meter reading as on 04-09-14 is 2952 units and the current reading as on 07-12-14 is 3248 units. Electric bill is prepared on the basis of meter readings shown in the meter card and so the electric bill for the period September to November, 2014 showing the last meter reading as 2688 units in place of 2952 units is pulpably wrong and should be revised.         

                                                                                       Hence it is ordered……

That the case be and the same is allowed on contest against the O.P..

The O.P.is directed to send revised bill for the period September to November, 2014 with last Meter reading as 2952 units and current Meter reading as 3248 units as usual and the complainant is to pay the revised bill within one month after receipt of the same.

Both parties be supplied copy of this order free of cost.
