The complainant being aggrieved for sending bills in the old Meter No. RGX 47188 for his STW connection ID No. 433126243 has lodged this complaint for redressal u/s 12 of the CP Act 1986.

The summation of the complaint goes that the OP has brought a charge of theft against his STW connection having meter No. RGX 47188 and after payment of all charges against the said consumer ID No. a new meter having no.SF017484 has been installed on 12.05.2012. But from then on bills have been raised  against the old meter No. and for which he has to pay  a total amount of Rs. 30,999/-  viz date of payment an amount  18.03.2013 Rs. 14,010/-, 25.02.2014 Rs. 5,063/- and 24.03.2018 Rs.11,926/-. In spite of repeated request the new meter no. has not been inducted in the bill and disconnection has been made in June, 2018 when last meter reading was 11596 units. Now, the complainant has prayed for reconnection and inclusion of the new meter no. in the subsequent bills along with a compensation of Rs. 15,000/- (Fifteen thousand) only and a litigation cost of Rs 5.000/- (Five thousand) only.

The OP in person appeared and admitted some technical problems for which the new meter no. has not been shown in the bill of the complainant. He has also admitted as per the records the payment made by him against consumption of electricity has shown in the old meter.  He has admitted to prepare a new bill by subtracting the amount of Rs.30,999/- so far received by his office.

DECISION  WITH  REASONS

Both the parties being agreed to delivery for judgment at the earliest and no further arguments were agreed to hold on. The written versions of both the parties and the verbal statements to this Forum reveal to solve the problem at the earliest by both the parties.

A fresh bill against new meter no.SF01484 is to be prepared @ 11596 units of consumption without imposing any LPSC by the OP. The OP is directed to subtract Rs. 30,999/- from the total amount of value of the total consumed units 11596 within 30 days from the date of this order. The complainant is also instructed to pay the bill in one installment within 10 days from the date of receipt of the fresh bill.

No compensation or litigation is allowed.

The case be and the same succeed on contest.

            Let a plain copy of this order be furnished to the parties forthwith free of cost.
