ORDER

Shri Sudip Majumder- President-in-Charge.

Today is fixed for argument in presence of both sides. Complainant Nos. 2 and 3 files a petition and stated that the OP did not receive the electricity bill since January 2023 till date thus the petitioners are prays before us for passing an order for directing the OP/WBSEDCL to receive the previous electricity bill from the complainant Nos. 2 and 3 in two equal installment.

The record is taken up for hearing in respect of the petition filed by the complainant dated 07/03/2024. Both the parties files hazira through their respective Ld. Advocates.

            One petition has been filed by the complainant. This petition also seen by OP side. The same has been registered as M.A. Case being No. 35/2024. Record is now taken up for passing of order.

            Perused the petition. Considered. From the content of the petition it appears that the complainant is willing to made payment their previous electricity bill i.e. from January 2023 till date but the OP/WBSEDCL did not receive the same from the complainant. It is the submission of complainant that he is able to pay their previous electricity bill in two equal installments, out of these first installment on April 2024 and the second installment on May 2024.

Heard Ld. Advocates for both sides. No objection raised by the OP side.

In this juncture without going into the merit of the case we think Electricity is most essential part of the human life in present day situation. Moreover, the complainants are depending upon the present electricity connection to run they are STW with the electric energy of OP/WBSEDCL i.e. for his livelihood.

Hence, we think prayer is to be allowed.

Hence, it is,

                        ORDERED,

                                                the petition dated 07/03/2024 filed by the complainant Nos. 2 & 3  for payment their previous electricity bill i.e. from the January 2023 till date in two equal installments, out of these first installment on April 2024 and the second installment on May 2024 i.e. M.A. Case No. 35/2024 is allowed on contest. No cost.

The Station Manager of WBSEDCL, Murarai Customer Care Centre, P.O. and P.S.- Murarai, Dist.- Birbhum, is further directed to receive the previous electric bill  from the complainant Nos. 2 & 3 i.e. bill from January 2023 till date in two equal installments, out of these first installment on April 2024 and the second installment on May 2024 vide Consumer ID No. 522044355 and 522044350.

The complainant Nos. 2 & 3 are also directed to pay their previous electric bill i.e. bill from January 2023 till date in two equal installments, out of these first installment on April 2024 and the second installment on May 2024 vide Consumer ID No. 522044355 and 522044350 in respect of their service connection.

Thus the M.A. Case No. 35/2024 is disposed of.

Fix.  22/05/2024 for argument in presence of both sides and report by complainant Nos. 2 & 3. Interim order will be effected till the date.

Copy of this order be supplied to the parties each at free of cost.
