Today is fixed for W/V by the OP as last chance. But the OP has not filed W/V. The Complainant is found absent on call. The record shows that no step was taken by the Complainant on 29.01.21, 05.04.21, 01.06.21, 10.08.21, 02.12.21, 16.02.22, 27.04.22, 19.07.22, 07.11.22, 16.02.23, 25.05.23, 31.07.23, 14.09.23. and today i.e. 15.09.23. The case of the Complainant as per materials on record is that the Complainant obtaining connection installed machineries for husking paddy. He has been carrying on business of husking paddy as small venture for his earning livelihood. The Complainant regularly paid the electric bills to the office of the OP and the Complainant paid the last bill amounting Rs. 1083/- on 03.07.19 and on that date the bill shows the outstanding amount was Rs. 3.87 and the another bill dated 02.08.19 shows the outstanding bill Rs.0.00. But curiously after then the OP sent the electric bill to the Complainant demanding huge amount as outstanding and the last bill shows its charge as Rs. 958.80 but the outstanding bill shows Rs. 62,699.89/-. It is the provision of the electricity board that the authority will visit the PO and examined meter reading on the meter card, but the OP last visited the OP on 25.04.16 without any clarification. On 07.02.19 the Complainant informed the office of the OP verbally but the OP did not attend the Complainant regarding excess outstanding bill which is baseless and illegal. The Complainant submits that bill dated 03.02.20 for the month of January 2020 demanding outstanding dues of Rs. 62,966.89/- was never consumed by the Complainant and the said amount is not payable by the Complainant. The Complainant repeatedly requested the OP to correct the bill and not to demand such amount but the OP declined to correct the impugned bill and threatened the Complainant with disconnection in case of non payment of the said amount. We peruse the materials on record. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case we find that the instant complaint is of bill dispute and we find no deficiency of service on the part of the OP. Such being the position, we are of the view that the instant complaint is liable to be dismissed. In the result, the Consumer case fails. Fees paid are correct. Hence, it is Ordered that the complaint Case No. CC/36/2020 be and the same is dismissed on merit against the OP. Let plain copy of this order be supplied free of cost, to each of the parties / Ld.
