FINAL ORDER / JUDGEMENT.
Order No.51
Dt. 12/10/23
Both parties filed hazira through Advocate.
The case is fixed for argument.
After hearing argument from both sides the commission proceeds to dispose of the case as here under.
The complainant’s case is that he has a electric connection to his SMP with O.P (vide consumer ID-201461053).He has a billing dispute since 2015 and the outstanding dues has been reduced from Rs-21769/= to Rs-12111/=. For non-payment of outstanding dues the electric connection has been disconnected with effect from 11-01-2019.
The complainant has prayed for appropriate relief in the matter.
O.P filed a Written version stating that on payment of outstanding Rs-12111/= the connection will be restored to the SMP of complainant.
Decision with reason
Having regard to fact of the case, contention submission and document on both sides the commission finds that the Complainant has to pay total outstanding amount of Rs-12,111/= to get the electric connection restored.
At the time of hearing Ld. Advocate for the Complainant has submitted that he does not agree with the amount of outstanding dues.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and status of the Complainant the Commission thinks it just and proper to direct the Complainant to pay to the O.P Rs-6000/= towards outstanding dues of Rs-12111/=.
Accordingly it is ordered.
That the case is disposed of on contest by directing the complainant to pay to the O.P Rs-6000/= within one month from this date so as to get electric connection restored in default law will take its own course.
Both parities be supplied copy free of cost.
