The complaint was filed by the complainant under section 35 of the Consumer Protection Act 2019 alleging deficiency in service against the opposite parties in not processing the insurance claim of the complainant along with a prayer to direct the opposite parties to pay a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- towards compensation for the mental agony and hardship caused to the complainant and to pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- towards cost of the proceedings.
No representation for complainant. Notice not taken for opposite parties. Sufficient opportunities provided on 17.07.2023, 27.07.2023, 03.08.2023, 11.08.2023 and on 22.08.2023. Hence, this commission is of the view that no purpose in keeping the complaint on file. Hence the consumer complaint is dismissed for non prosecution. No cost.
