ORDER

However, on the ground of delay in crediting the Rupee proceeds of 3523 dollars, the complainant deserves to be awarded compensation which is quantified at Rs.25,000/- taking note of the fact that the complainant was deprived of this amount for almost six months. Accordingly, the Opposite Party shall pay a sum of Rs.25,000/- to the Complainant alongwith interest which shall be calculated at the rate of 9% p.a. from the date of filing of this complaint till its realization and the Opposite Party shall also pay a sum of Rs.5,000/- towards cost of the present case.
