ORDER

 

            This order will dispose of the application filed by OP-State Bank of India praying therein that it be permitted to deposit a sum of Rs.45,783/- being half of the amount awarded in compliance of the order dated 23.01.2013 passed by the Hon’ble State Commission, U.T. Chandigarh.

            Vide order dated 23.01.2013 passed in FA/6/2013, the Hon’ble State Commission, U.T. Chandigarh, was pleased to stay the operation of the impugned order qua the appellant subject to deposit of half of the amount awarded in this case, with the concerned District Forum, within 20 days, from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order, including the amount already deposited, at the time of filing the appeal. The certified copy is dated 25.01.2013 and the present application was moved on 18.02.2013 i.e. after a period of 20 days. However, in view of the order passed by the Hon’ble State Commission, U.T. Chandigarh, the OP is permitted to deposit a sum of Rs.45,783/- without prejudice to the rights, if any, accrued to the complainant, after depositing the amount beyond the period of 20 days.

            The bankers cheque No.784110, dated 13.02.2013 amounting to Rs.45,783/- drawn on State Bank of India, be deposited in the account of District Forum, in the form of F.D.R in a Nationalised Bank, having maximum interest, for a period of one year, to be renewed from time to time, if needed. The application stands disposed of accordingly.

            Copy of this order be placed on record of the Execution Petition file, if any.

            Certified copy of this order be communicated to the parties free of cost. After compliance file be consigned.
