CC No.98 of 2023.

Malvinder          Vs.     Star Health.

 

Present:      Sh. Tej Partap Singh, Adv. for the complainant.

                   Sh. Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Adv. for the respondent No.1.

                   (Notice of complaint was not ordered against the respondent No.2).

 

                  On the basis of even dated application filed by the complainant, case file taken up on today. Counsel for the respondent No.1 is also present before this Commission and the parties wanted to settle the matter amicably. They are allowed.

                   Sh. Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Adv. on behalf of the respondent No.1 suffered statement to make payment of Rs.31,000/- only to the complainant as full and final settlement of the matter within the period of 30 days from today. Counsel for the complainant, on behalf of the complainant agreed to the proposal made by counsel for the respondent No.1. Statement of counsel for the respondent No.1 and counsel for the complainant recorded.

                  Keeping in view statement of counsel for the respondent No.1 and counsel for the complainant, without making any adverse comment on the act and conduct of the respondent No.1, matter being amicably settled, this complaint is accepted against the respondent Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Ltd., holding it liable for making payment of Rs.31,000/- (Rupees Thirty One Thousand) only to the complainant as a full and final settlement of the matter, within the period of 30 days from today, in default of it, the respondent No.1 shall be liable to pay interest @ 8% (simple) per annum on the award amount from the date of order till actual payment. Reader of the Commission directed to make necessary entry in the system of the Commission showing the disposal of this complaint on today by preponing the date of hearing. File be consigned to the records.
