CC No.266 of 2023.

Jaswant Singh vs. Star Health.

 

Present:        Complainant with Sh.DK Sharma, Adv. for complainant.

                     Sh.Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Adv. for opponent.

 

                  On the basis of even date application, file taken up on today. With the intervention of the Commission, parties entered into amicable settlement. The opponent offered a sum of Rs.119000/- (Rs.One lac Ninteen Thousand Only) as full and final settlement, which has been accepted by the complainant. The complainant and counsel for opponent suffered their separate statements in this regard.

               Keeping in view the statements suffered by the complainant and counsel for opponent and without making any adverse comment on the act and conduct of any of the party, the present complaint is accepted against the opponent, holding it liable to make payment of Rs.119000/- (Rs.One lac Ninteen Thousand) only as full and final settlement to the claim in this complaint. The opponent shall make payment of Rs.119000/- within the period of 45 days from today, failing which the amount of Rs.119000/- shall carry simple interest @8% p.a. from the date of order till actual payment. The parties are left to bear their own cost of litigation. Reader of the Commission is directed to make necessary entry in the relevant register and system with regard to decision of the complaint on today, instead of 7.11.2024.

2.                  Certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties concerned free of costs.

3.                   File be consigned to the records.
