ORDER

1. Pleadings of the complainant in brief
The complainant is the holder of a medi claim policy for Rs.5,00,000/- (Five lakhs) issued by the opposite party. His grievance is that the opposite party refused to sanction his medical bills for Rs.10,000/- incurred for scanning, ECG, X-ray etc for the reason that no hospitalisation was involved. Hence, this complaint is filed seeking a compensation of Rs.50,000/-.
2. Notice was issued to the opposite party. They entered appearance and filed version seeking direction to the complainant to provide the policy number for taking appropriate action since the complaint did not contain the policy number.
3. The complainant produced the identity card issued by the opposite party and hence, the opposite party was directed to file additional version.
4. Accordingly, additional version was filed by the opposite party stating that the complainant is not entitled to the benefit as there was no hospitalisation. As per the orders in IA.No.331/24 the complainant was directed to produce the claim form and documents said to have been submitted to the opposite party.
5. The complainant failed to produce the above mentioned documents in spite of repeated opportunities given. Further, the complainant has been continuously absent for the proceedings on 22.04.2024, 24.05.2024, 01.07.2024 and 23.07.2024. Hence, the case was taken for orders based on merits.
6. In the absence of any effort from the side of the complainant to prove even a prima facie case against the opposite party, the complainant is dismissed.
