ORDER
SRI. P. V. JAYARAJAN: PRESIDENT
This complaint is filed under Sec. 35 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the matter stood over to this date for consideration. After hearing the matter this Commission passed an order as follows:
This is a complaint filed by the complainant against the opposite parties alleging deficiency in service on the part of the opposite parties. After admitting the complaint, notice was issued to the opposite parties to appear before this Commission on 23.02.2023. The opposite parties entered appearance and filed written version denying the allegations raised by the complainant. When the case came up for consideration on 10.06.2024, both the parties submitted that there is a chance of settlement and hence the matter was referred for mediation. When the case came up for consideration today, both parties submitted that the matter is settled. A compromise memo signed by both parties is also produced before this Commission. The compromise memo dated 29.06.2024 is accepted and recorded. As per the compromise, the opposite parties have agreed to pay Rs. 2,86,381/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Eighty Six Thousand Three Hundred and Eighty One only) to the complainant within 30 days from the date of this settlement. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties to the proceedings, we find that this is a fit case to be allowed in terms of the compromise.
In the result, the complaint is allowed in terms of the compromise. The compromise memo dated 29.06.2024 shall form part of this order. There will be no order as to costs.
A copy of this order as per the statutory requirements be forwarded to the parties free of charge and thereafter the file be consigned to the record room.
