The complaint pertains to non-refund of the deposit amount paid to the opposite party in accordance with the rental agreement between the complainant and the opposite party. The complainant seeks the return of the deposit amount along with compensation, costs and the rental agreement.
From the pleadings it is apparent that the dispute in the complaint pertains to a landlord tenant issue, which falls outside the jurisdiction of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Therefore the complaint is not admitted as it is not maintainable before this Commission. However, the complainant is granted the liberty to approach the appropriate legal authority for the redressal of his grievances if any.
