- In the instant case the Complainant has sought for following reliefs against the Opposite party:-
- To direct the opposite parties to change the meter and correct the bill.
- To direct the opposite party to pay Rs. 2,00,000/- ( Rs. Two Lac only ) as compensation and litigation costs.
- The facts of this case lies in a narrow compass which is as follows:-
The complainant has asserted that he had electric connection bearing account no. KPB – 2497, CONSUMER ID – 214112954, MRU – CHAK HUSSAIN and METER NO. 152336. The complainant is paying bill since the time of connection i.e. 2016 and lastly on 24.06.2016 he had paid 180/- in July 2016 no bill was furnished but in August 2016 a bill of amounting to Rs. 19,400/- was furnished which was protested by the complainant. Again in January 2017 a bill of Rs. 15,271/- was given to the complainant.
It has been also stated that uptill his defective meter has not been changed despite his best attempt in this regard.
It appears from the record that despite allowing several adjournment no written statement has been filed on behalf opposite parties was heard ex – parte.
It appears from the complaint petition that opposite parties have not changed the defective meter of the complainant nor attempt had been taken by opposite parties to prove corrected bill.
For the discussion made above to think it proper to direct the complainant to file a detailed representation with opposite party no. 2 so that the opposite party no. 2 may look into the matter and take necessary steps in accordance with law.
Hence, we direct the complainant to file representation to opposite party no. 2 stating his entire grievance before opposite party no. 2 within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of this order or certified copy of this order and if such application is filed then opposite party no. 2 is directed to take appropriate measure towards the redressal of grievance of the complainant within a period of fifteen days from the date of filing of aforesaid application by the complainant.
With the aforementioned direction this complaint disposed of.
