1.         Sony India Ltd. A-31, Mohan Coopreative Industrial Estate, Mathura Road, New Delhi.

2.         Purchased Sony Digital Camera from Super Photolab, SCO 1044, Sec.22-B, Chandigarh.

3.         Modern Electronics, Sony Authorized Service Centre, SCO 126-127, Ist floor, Sector 34-A, Chandigarh.

                                                            ORDER

1.                     The parties have appeared and stated that the matter has been settled between them. Statement given by them is reproduced as under:-

“Statement of Sh.Sanpreet Singh s/o Sh.Darshan Singh, Area Service Incharge/Authorized Representative of OP No.1(sony India Pvt. Ltd.)

The matter has been settled between the parties. As per settlement, the OP No.1 will replace the Camera in question of the complainant i.e. Sony Digital Camera Model DSC-S650 with new one of model DSC-S2100 within 10 days from today i.e. 21.12.2010, with fresh warranty of three years from the date of delivery,

I accept the above statement given by Sh.Sanpreet Singh, Area Service Incharge/Authorized Representative of OP No.1(sony India Pvt. Ltd.). The camera in question is already lying with OP No.1. I will handover the accessories of the camera to OP No.1 at the time of receiving the new camera. The complaint may be disposed of accordingly.”

2.                     In view of the above statements, the complaint stands disposed of. The OP No.1 would replace the Camera in question of the complainant i.e. Sony Digital Camera Model DSC-S650 with new one of model DSC-S2100 within 10 days from today i.e. 21.12.2010, with fresh warranty of three years from the date of delivery. The complainant would handover the accessories of the camera in question to OP No.1 at the time of receiving the new camera,

3.                     Copies of this order free of cost be supplied to the parties. The file be consigned.
