This order disposes of miscellaneous application No.68 of 2016 filed in First Appeal No.942 of 2013 titled Reliance General Insurance Company Limited versus Sukhwinder and others, which was dismissed by this Commission vide order dated December 24th, 2013. Since the appeal was dismissed, the statutory amount of Rs.25,000/- deposited at the time of filing the appeal, was directed to be refunded to the complainant.
2. By filing the present application, the applicant/Opposite Party No.4 seeks refund of the said amount in its favour because the amount awarded alongwith interest, that is, Rs.1,22,255/- has already been paid to the complainant through cheque No.365287 dated 28.01.2014, as per Claim Payment Details (Annexure A-2).
3. In view of this, the statutory amount of Rs.25,000/- be refunded to the applicant against proper receipt and identification in accordance with rules.
