Sh. Shreegopal Narsan, Advocate appeared on behalf of the appellant – ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited and Sh. Deepak Ahluwalia, Advocate appeared on behalf of respondent – complainant Smt. Chitra Sehgal.

On 11.11.2016, learned counsel for respondent had filed a letter dated 25.10.2016 of Smt. Chitra Sehgal along with copy of cheque and memorandum of settlement dated 13.10.2016 executed between the parties.  Today also, memorandum of settlement signed by Sh. Hetal Mehta on behalf of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited and respondent – complainant Smt. Chitra Sehgal along with copy of cheque and Voter I.D. of Smt. Chitra Sehgal has been filed.

Today, Sh. Shreegopal Narsan, learned counsel for the appellant, has moved an application that on the basis of the settlement arrived between the parties, the appellant – ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited has paid sum of Rs. 6,25,000/- to the respondent – complainant vide cheque No. 178559 dated 05.10.2016 and prayed for disposal of the present appeal on the basis of the settlement between the parties.

As respondent – complainant Smt. Chitra Sehgal has admitted that she has received a cheque of Rs. 6,25,000/- from the appellant on 13.10.2016 in full and final settlement, therefore, on the basis of the settlement, this appeal is disposed of accordingly.

The statutory amount of Rs. 25,000/- deposited by the appellant at the time of filing of the appeal, be released in its favour.
