SURENDRA MOHAN: PRESIDENT The Revision Petitioners are the opposite parties in C.C.No.349/2013 of the Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum,Malappuram (hereinafter referred to as the District Forum for short) challenging an order dated 04.12.2015 in I.A.No.168/2015. The petition was filed by the Revision Petitioners challenging the maintainability of the complaint on the ground that the disputed policy was a unit linked policy and consequently, a speculative investment with an eye on profit. For the above reason, it was contended that the complainant was not a consumer. The District Forum has by the order under Revision negatived the said contention. Since the parties were constantly not being represented by anyone, we sought information from the District Forum regarding the stage of the C.C.349/2013. The District Forum has informed us that the C.C. itself has been finally disposed of on 08.06.2016. In view of the above, it has to be held that the Revision Petition has become infructuous.
