ORDER

ORDER (ORAL)

The present Appeal has been filed by the Appellants against the order dated 08.03.2016 of Delhi State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (for short “the State Commission”) in Complaint No.187 of 2009 filed by the Complainant, Respondent No.1 in this Appeal.

2.      At the stage of final arguments, Mr. Ranjan Sen, A/R for Respondent No.1, submits that since the Complainant/Respondent No.1 has duly received the Fixed Deposit amount, as directed by the State Commission in the impugned order, along with interest, they do not want to press the payment of compensation of                        ₹3 Lakhs as ordered by the State Commission and that the impugned order to this effect can be modified and the direction

-3-

regarding compensation can be quashed.  A letter in this regard is submitted by the A/R and is taken on record.

3.      In view of these submissions of the A/R of the Complainant, since part of the impugned order stands already satisfied and since the Complainant is not interested in the compensation, the impugned order is modified to the effect that the Appellants shall not be liable to pay compensation of ₹3 Lakhs as awarded by the State Commission by the impugned order.

4.      With these directions, the present Appeal stands disposed of.
