ORDER

By Smt. Padmini Sudheesh, President The complainant purchased a Churidar material from Kalyan Silks for Rs.940/- and entrusted to the respondent for stitching with another Churidar material. At that time it was also prescribed the cloths for top and bottom of the Churidar. It was written in the book kept in the tailoring shop. But when the complainant had visited the shop on 11/1/08 she noticed that the cloths were changed and the respondent stitched the cloth for top to bottom and bottom to top. She was felt with sad and enquired about this to the respondent. The respondent behaved harshly. The act of the respondent amounts to deficiency in service. Lawyer notice sent on 2/2/08, a reply has sent by the respondent stating untenable matters. Hence this complaint. 2. The notice from the Forum is accepted by the respondent on 7/7/08. But not appeared. Hence set exparte. 3. To prove the case complainant has filed affidavit and three documents which are marked as Exhibits P1 to P3. 4. According to the complainant she is entitled for the price of the Churidar material, cost and compensation. 5. There is no contrary evidence. 6. In the result complaint is allowed and the respondent is directed to pay Rs.940/- (Rupees Nine hundred and forty only), the cost of Churidar material and Rs.1000/- (Rupees One thousand only) towards compensation and Rs.500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) towards costs. Comply the order within one month. Dictated to the Confdl. Asst., transcribed by her, corrected by me and pronounced in the open Forum this the 29th day of August 2008.
