Sh. M.K. Kohli, learned counsel for the appellants is present.  Sh. Chandra Prakash Sharma – respondent    No. 1 is present in person, who has been identified by Sh. Vipin Joshi, Advocate.

This appeal has been filed against the order dated 27.08.2008 passed by the District Forum, Haridwar in consumer complaint No. 248 of 2007; Sh. Chandra Prakash Sharma and another Vs. Classic Group of Hotels and another.

Both the parties have entered into compromise.  A joint application for compromise has been filed before this Commission, wherein it has been agreed that the appeal be decided in terms of compromise.  The respondents have accepted the amount of Rs. 70,000/- in full and final settlement of their claim.  The demand draft of the said amount is given by the appellants to the respondent No. 1 before us.  Therefore, the impugned order dated 27.08.2008 passed by the District Forum is modified and the appeal is decided in terms of compromise.  The compromise application shall form part of the order.

The statutory amount of Rs. 25,000/- deposited by the appellants at the time of filing the appeal, be released in their favour.
