Heard.  Complainant's daughter got B grade mark in English paper in the SSLC Examination conducted by the opposite party in March 2009.  So an application was filed for revaluation.  Revaluation results shows B+ mark in English examination.  She was not admitted in any school earlier because the marks were low.  But she got admission after publishing the revaluation result.  So she could have obtained admission in St.Augustines School, Karimkunnam if the B+ grade was received earlier in regular result.  So this petition is filed for getting compenssation for the mental agony caused by this.

Before going to the evidence, we think that it is the statutory duty of the Government, holding examinations and declaring results constitute, which is cast upon it by law.  By performing its statutory duty of, it renders no service nor the  student taking an examination as a consumer.

Hence the petition is not maintainable and hence dismissed.
