ORDER

Judgment and Order

The brief of the case is that Shri Kamlesh Chandra Verma, IFCD office Nari has applied for Sim card to the SDO(T) office, Pasighat along with D.D No. 1827 for a value of Rs.500/- on 9/11/05. Accordingly the issuing officer gave a money receipt to Shri Verma against his draft. But at home Shri Verma remembered that he had forgotten to pick the receipt from table of issuing officer and rushed back to SDO(T) office but couldn’t found the receipt. How ever, on the request of Shri verma, the officer issued him duplicate receipt.

                On 3/12/05 Shri K.C. Verma came to SDO (T) Pasighat office for collection of Sim card which was applied in the month of November but the officer of SDO(T) Pasighat told him that the Sim card against his money receipt has already been issued to someone. Shri Verma approached the officer to issue another Sim card to him. But SDO(T) refused him to issue another Sim card unless Shri Verma deposit an amount of Rs.220/- as fine. This was the allegation of Shri K.C Verma against SDO(T) Pasigaht for which Shri Verma lodge a complaint to the court of East Siang Dist. Forum, Pasighat for redressal of his grievances.

                 After registering above case the President, Dist Forum, Pasigaht issued 30 days of period of notice to the opposite party for giving version of the case. After expiry of 30 days, this court summoned both the parties giving 7 (seven) times of hearing. The representative of SDO(T) appeared in six hearing but did not appeared on 04/10/07. Shri K. C. Verma did noyt appeared in 6 hearing but appeared on 04.10.07.

            In the meantime, on 14/09/07 a petition from Shri K.C. Verma has been received for withdrawal of the case. The members of this Dist. Forum, has taken up the matter for discussion on this 4^th Oct’07. After hearing the parties the forum thus allowed the petitioner to withdraw the case.

            The case stands closed.
