Final Order / Judgement

Case record taken up today for settlement of dispute. Both the parties are present. Heard. Peruse the material available on record.

The    grievance of the complainant is that he was issued with a defective electric bill  for the month of August,2017 where the Ops have demanded an amount of Rs.56,905/- . Accordingly she prayed for revision of bill  pending against him vide Consumer no.904242120123 .

On the other hand the Opposite parties submitted that there is no any fault in the alleged electric bill . So also the complainant has never approached the ops under complaint handling procedure as prescribed under OERC Dlistribution (Condition of Supply) Code 2019 or and has never approached the Grievance Redressal Forum established under law in case of delay for refusal of his grievance by the Ops .

The complainant  admitted the  fact that he has never approached the Ops with any grievances . He is consuming electricity peacefully as on date without any disturbance but his only claim is to revise the alleged bill  pending against him  and further the complainant submitted that he shall pay the actual bill comes after revision of the same. On the other hand the Ops has never denied to settle the grievance of the complainant if the  complainant will approach  the ops under complaint handling procedure as prescribed under OERC Dlistribution (Condition of Supply) Code 2019 or the Grievance Redressal Forum established under law .

            In view of the above submission of the parties in this case and on the    facts and circumstances,  it is found that there is no any existing dispute between the parties. as on date and the grievance of the complainant  is agreed to be settled by the Ops.

            In view of the above said settlement the Ops are directed to revise the disputed electric bill pending against complainant  within three months  of this order  and the complainant shall pay the revised bill raised by the Ops  within 45 days of receiving of  the revised bill..Accordingly this complaint is disposed of as settled..

Free copy of this order be supplied to the parties for compliance or they may download the same from the Confonet to treat the same as copy of the order receipt from this Commission. Order accordingly.
