Today is fixed for hearing of compromise petition.

On the pervious date i.e. on 31.01.2019 the complainant filed a joint compromise petition stating that the OP-1 offered for settling the case at Rs. 2, 00,000=00 which is accepted by the complainant. Therefore, prayer is made to pass necessary order effecting the compromise.

After haring both sides we are of the opinion that the complainant is ready and willing to accept the settlement amount from the OP-1. So the prayer of the complainant should be allowed for effecting the compromise.

Hence, it is

O r d e r e d

that the Consumer Complaint being No. 148/2018 be and the same is disposed of with a direction to the OP-1 to issue a cheque in favour of the complainant for Rs. 2, 00,000=00 (Rs. Two lack) only within 30 (thirty) days from the date of passing of this order, in default, the complainant is at liberty to put the award in execution as per provisions of law.

Let plain copy of this order be supplied to the parties free of cost as per provisions of law.
