ORDER
SRI.P.V.JAYARAJAN: PRESIDENT
This is a complaint filed under section 12 of Consumer Protection Act 1986 and the matter stood over to this date for consideration.After hearing the matter the commission passed an order as follows:
This is a complaint filed by the complainant against the opposite parties alleging deficiency in service on the part of the opposite parties. After admitting the complaint notice was issued to the opposite parties. The opposite parties entered appearance and filed written version denying the allegation raised by the complainant. When the case came up for consideration on 25/03/2023 the complainant was present and the opposite parties were represented and submitted that there is a chance of settlement and hence the case was referred for mediation to be held on today. After discussions both parties submitted that the matter is compromised. As per the compromise the opposite parties agreed to deposit a cheque for Rs.1,00,000/- before this Commission within one month from the date of receipt of this order to the court. A joint memo of settlement signed by both parties and their counsel is produced before this Commission. The joint memo of settlement produced before this Commission is accepted and recorded. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties to the proceedings, we find that this is a fit case to be allowed in terms of compromise.
In the result the complaint is allowed in terms of compromise. The joint memo of settlement dated 01/04/2023 will form part of this order.
A copy of this order as per the statutory requirements be forwarded to the parties free of charge and thereafter the file be consigned to the record room.
