JUDGMENT

Per Sri Sushil Kumar,  Member-   This appeal has been filed against the judgment and order dated 19.2.2011 passed by the Ld. District Forum, Ghaziabad in complaint case no.225 of 2009 whereby the ld. District Forum allowed the complaint and directed the opposite parties to pay Rs.1,31,050.00 along with  interest @6% p.a., Rs.1,00,000.00 towards compensation and Rs.5,000.00 as cost of the case to the complainant.

 

          None appeared for the appellant. ld. counsel for the respondent Sri S.K. Verma is present.

We have heard the ld. counsel for the respondent and perused the judgment and order which reveals the appellant institution was not recognized under AICTE, therefore, was not entitled to get the admission and receive the fees from the candidates. Hence, judgment and order passed by the ld. District Consumer Commission needs no interference. The    appeal deserves to be dismissed.

ORDER

          Appeal is dismissed.

If, any amount, is deposited by the appellants at the time of filing of this appeal under section 15 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986, may be remitted to the ld. District Consumer Forum concerned for satisfying the decreed, as per rules alongwith accrued interest upto date.

The stenographer is requested to upload this order on the Website of this Commission today itself.
