Buddh Deo Prasad filed a consumer case on 11 Sep 2023 against Sanjeet Kumar in the Jehanabad Consumer Court. The case no is CC/27/2019 and the judgment uploaded on 14 Sep 2023.
Both the parties absent.
Perused the record. Present complaint has been filed by the complainant for direction to the OP for payment of dues of a sum of RS. 18000 to the complainant as at the house of him the complainant has provided services of temporary construction of canvas tents pandal and he provided dinner set, light for decoration etc. for decoration of his house on the occassion of marriage at the house of the OP. It is crystal clear from the complainant’s case itself that the complainant of this case was the service provider and the OP was the consumer. Present Act under which this case has been lodged is for the protection of the consumers as defined in section 2D of the consumer protection Act not for protection of the service providers or for realization of dues of money for work under a contract for the services rendered by the service providers.
As such the very complaint is against the object of the consumer protection Act. Hence, it is not maintainable before this commission. Hence the present complaint is dismissed being not maintainable.
