ORDER BY HON’BLE PRESIDENT- MR. P.K. PADHI:  

                                                                                                JUDGMENT     

            Complainant has filed the consumer complaint U/s.35 of Consumer Protection Act, 2019 seeking a direction for reconnection of electric line which has been disconnected without notice to complainant as stated by complainant in his consumer complaint.  

            Notice to opposite parties was sent but no written version has been filed though more than a year has already passed. The consumer complaint was filed on 28.3.2023 but the bill of Nov. & Dec., 2022 has been filed where in the bill amount was Rs.159.63 in November & Rs.171.04 in December, 2022 and last payment details was Rs.4,641/- on 22.9.2022 in the bill of Nov., 2022 and Rs.160/- in the bill of Dec.,2022 as such there might not be much amount on complainant on 25.3.2023 i.e. the date of disconnection and when opposite parties have not filed any written version and complainant is absent we are in dark for which we accept the averments made in the consumer complaint as correct and true and direct the opposite parties to reconnect the electric connection of complainant subject to payment of any arrear due pending on complainant.  We also impose cost of Rs.500/- towards harassment and Rs.500/- towards cost of litigation. With the aforesaid observation and direction the consumer complaint is disposed of.   

            Pronounced in the open Commission on this 17th May,2024.
