Final Order / Judgement

ORDER BY HON’BLE PRESIDENT- MR. P.K. PADHI:

                                                                                       JUDGMENT

            Complainant has filed this consumer complaint U/s.12 of C.P. Act, 1986 seeking following reliefs;

            “Direct the opposite parties to supply of the extract copy of bill statement up to connection to till date and to reduce the excesses bill and revise the bill as correct from 2003 to 2017 as per meter riding and wave out Rs.2,000/- of fine impose by opposite parties.”.

            The brief fact of the case is that, the complainant has domestic consumer under the opposite parties vide consumer No.04214360 and consuming electric energy since 2003 by paying the electric dues regularly as bill on average basis. The opposite parties installed meter on January, 2017 but without revise previous average electricity bill claiming electric dues illegally to the complainant and threatened to disconnect the electric line from the premises.

            Notice to opposite parties was issued on 24.01.2020 but none appeared for which the opposite parties were set ex-parte on 06.6.2022.

            Considering the case of both parties we direct the opposite parties to deduct 30% of the bill dt.13.5.2017 to 24.5.2019 as is being deducted by opposite parties and after deducting 30% take the rest amount in six monthly installments. With the aforesaid observation and direction the consumer complaint is disposed of. No cost.
