Final Order / Judgement

ORDER BY HON’BLE PRESIDENT- MR. P.K. PADHI:

                                                                                      JUDGMENT

            Complainant has filed this consumer complaint U/s.12 of C.P. Act, 1986 seeking following reliefs;

            “Direct the opposite parties to revise the arrear dues of none connection period from 1999 to 26.4.2015 and not to disconnect the power supply the premises of the complainant”.

            The brief fact of the case is that, the father of the complainant was a domestic consumer under the opposite parties vide consumer No.04248044 and consuming electric energy since long by paying the electric dues regularly and from 1999 after super cyclone the meter of the complainant has been damaged and the opposite parties collect their electric dues on average basis. After death of father, complainant used the electric current and regularly pays the bill to the opposite parties when the electric connection was disconnected from the house of the complainant due to super cyclone the opposite parties given their electric bill on average basis regularly. When the complainant given his grievance to opposite parties they did not respond on the other hand opposite parties supply their electric bill in one by one which was not consumed and on 26.4.2015 after receiving Rs.5,000/- the opposite parties reconnected the line to the house and the complainant paid his electric dues regularly as per meter reading and there is no outstanding about payment of electric bill from 24.4.2015 to till date. But the opposite parties illegally and arbitrary demand vague bill of non supply period of electric current to the complainant.  

            Notice to opposite parties was issued by Regd. Post with AD on 11.3.2020 but opposite parties did not appear and set ex-parte on 01.11.2021.

            Except the bill we have no document. Counsel for complainant is also long absent for which we dispose of this case directing the complainant to make an application within 45 days from the date of order to opposite parties to consider his grievance and the opposite parties shall consider his grievance and deduct some amount as permissible under the rules. With t he aforesaid observation and direction the consumer complaint is disposed of. No cost.
