Shri S. L. Behera, President :- The brief facts of the complaint case is that, the complainant’s mother was a consumer of the O.Ps. bearing Consumer No. 117212020491. The said mother of the complainant died since November,2012 and since then the complainant is taking care of his house and paying the electricity bills regularly to the O.Ps. In the month of September,2015 the complainant received an enhanced bill of Rs.1,148/- only and in the month of October, 2015 he received bill of Rs.2,034/- only. The O.P.No.1 disconnected the supply of electricity on dtd. 28.11.2015 without any prior information or notice to the complainant. The father of complainant is an asthma patient and he was advised to take full bed rest but without electricity the complainant and his family put in problem. The complainant went to the O.P.No.1 for paying electricity bills but the O.P.No.1 denied to receive the bill amount, hence this case.
On service of notice, the O.Ps. appeared and filed Written Version through his counsel admitting the facts of electricity connection and submitted that the complainant is having electrical connection but he is defaulter in making payment of electricity bill. Till the date of July,2015 the complainant was having dues of Rs.4,82,795.80P only which was revised and after revision the complainant was having dues of Rs.3,51,913/- only. The complainant is not taking any interest in making payment of electricity dues as such prayed for dismissal of case.
Heard the matter in length from the Opposite parties, gone through the case and materials available on record. The complainant is continuously absent after being provided sufficient opportunities so also as per the case record the O.ps. have revised the bill and after revision the complainant is having outstanding dues of Rs.3,51,913/- only.
In the above observation and analysis, there is no any merit we found in the case of complainant, hence the present case is dismiss with no cost.
Accordingly the case is disposed of.
Order pronounced in the open court today the 22th day of August’ 2016 and copy of this order shall be supplied to the parties as per rule.
I Agree.
