                   Before District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum-II, UT, Chandigarh (in short “the Forum” only)     it was the case of the complainant that without any justification on the discounted price, VAT was imposed. The abovesaid contention was found to be correct by the Forum by holding it as deficiency in service and also indulging into unfair trade practice on the part of the Opposite Parties, the complaint was allowed, ordering refund of excess amount charged and further granting compensation of Rs.1,000/- and litigation expenses of Rs.1100/- to the complainant.

2.         This appeal has been filed by the appellant/complainant for enhancement of compensation amount, awarded by the Forum.

3.         After perusal of the record and on hearing the arguments, we feel that intention of the appellant/complainant is only to earn money. We are of the opinion that the compensation granted by the Forum is perfectly justified. No case is made out for interference.

4.         In view of above, this appeal stands dismissed, with no order as to costs and the impugned order is upheld.

5.         Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties, free of charge.

6.         File be consigned to record room, after completion.
