First Appeal No.1250 of 2016 titled ‘IFFCO TOKIO General Insurance Company Limited Versus Ravinder Singh and others’ was dismissed by this Commission vide order dated September 15th, 2017. It was ordered that the statutory amount of Rs.25,000/- deposited at the time of filing the appeal be refunded to the complainant.
2. By filing this application, IFFCO TOKIO General Insurance Company Limited-applicant (for short ‘Insurance Company’) seeks refund of the statutory amount of Rs.25,000/-.
3. Learned counsel for the applicant has stated that the entire awarded amount has been paid to the complainant vide order dated May 23rd, 2017 of District Forum, Sonepat (Annexure-1), whereby the complainant received the amount of Rs.8,99,673/- and also made a statement that nothing was due against the Insurance Company.
4. In view of above, the statutory amount of Rs.25,000/- deposited be released to the applicant against proper receipt and identification in accordance with rules.
5. Disposed of.
