The Indian Bank (erstwhile Allahabad Bank), a body corporate constituted under the Banking Companies (Acquisitioned and transfer of undertakings) Act, 1970, on the basis of Amalgamation Scheme dated 04.03.2020 having its Head Office 254-260, Avvai Shanmugham Salai, Royapettah, Chennai and the amongst other places and branch Balwal, District Rewari. It carries on banking business. It can sue and be sued. The present complaint is being filed by Ritesh Kumar.

ORDER

 

 

 

  1. The present appeal has been preferred by opposite party No.2 against the order dated 15.02.2023 passed by the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Rewari whereby complaint preferred by the complainant was allowed qua opposite party No.2 (appellant herein) and it directed opposite party No.2 to pay Rs.1,26,000/- on account of loss of crops along with compensation of Rs.20,000/- on account of metal agony and harassment besides Rs.11,000/- as litigation expenses to the complainant.
  2. The present miscellaneous application No.1998 of 2024 has been filed by the appellant for putting up the appeal and allowing the appellant to withdraw the appeal.
  3. Counsel appearing for respondent No.2 states that he has no objection, if, the appellant is allowed to withdraw the appeal.
  4. Heard. The miscellaneous application is allowed and the Registry is directed to put up the appeal today itself.
  5. In view of above, the appeal is hereby dismissed as withdrawn.
  6. Application(s) pending, if any, stand disposed of in terms of the aforesaid order.
  7. A copy of this order be provided to the parties free of cost as mandated by the law. The order be uploaded forthwith on the website of the Commission for the perusal of the parties.
