By Smt. Padmini Sudheesh, President<br /> <br /> The fact of the case is that the complainant is a consumer of respondent. He was a subscriber of a kuri conducted by the respondent. The scheme started on 14/5/03 and terminated on 14//8/05. The monthly instalment was Rs.200/- and he had remitted entire instalments and it can be seen from the pass book. But the amount is not returned so far. Hence this complaint.<br /> <br /> 2. Respondent is set exparte. <br /> <br /> 3. To prove the case petitioner filed affidavit and one document. The pass book is marked as Exhibit P1.<br /> <br /> <br /> 4. According to the petitioner he is entitled to get the remitted amount and compensation and cost.<br /> <br /> 5. There is no evidence to the contrary.<br /> <br /> 6. In the result complaint is allowed and the respondent is directed to return Rs.6,500/- (Rupees Six thousand and five hundred only) to the complainant and also pay Rs.1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) as compensation and Rs.500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) towards costs.
