Today, the applicant – Sh. Yashpal Gupta has appeared in person.

This miscellaneous application has been filed by the applicant, on the ground that the post of President, District Commission, Haridwar, is lying vacant and hence no proceedings are being carried out in consumer complaint No. 389 of 2022; Sh. Yashpal Gupta Vs. Raghumath Mall – Raghumath Palika Bazar and others, pending before the District Commission, wherein the applicant is the complainant.

It is common knowledge that written examination for filing up the post of President, District Commission, Haridwar, besides other posts lying vacant in the State Commission as well as different District Commissions, has already been held, result whereof has also been declared and the interview is to be conducted shortly.

Thus, the appointment to the post of President, District Commission, Haridwar, is likely to be made in near future.

In such circumstances, the applicant – complainant shall seek appropriate relief before the District Commission and we are not inclined to interfere in the matter.

In view of above, the miscellaneous application is hereby dismissed.  No order as to costs.
