Today, Ld. Counsel for the complainant has made the following statement:-

Stated that Punjab Govt. has passed one notification bearing memo No. 430/435/SV-188/Waiving of Defaulting arrears dated 14.10.2021 and the present complaint pertains to arrears/bills of period before passing the above said notification. The opposite party has issued one bill dated 17.5.2022 in which at the end it has been clearly written that “Arrears of Rs. 1,48,536 paid by Punjab Govt”. In this way, the amount in dispute in the present complaint has been waived off by the opposite party. In view of this, I withdraw the present complaint at this stage with liberty to file fresh complaint on the same cause of action, if the above said amount is not waived of. 

In view of ibid statement, the present complaint is dismissed as withdrawn and the complainant is permitted to file fresh complaint on the same cause of action, if the above said amount is not waived of, as per law. Copy of order will be supplied by the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Amritsar as per rules. File be sent back to the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Amritsar.
