becoming defective/dead stop or burnt, it should be <br /> immediately replaced and necessary inquiries conducted.<br /> The meter alongwith the report should be forwarded <br /> to XEN/ME for further action.<br /> 73.1.2 : So far as charging the consumer for the period<br /> meter remained inoperative is concerned,<br /> average consumption of last 4 or 6 months of<br /> the average of same months of the previous year<br /> or the actual recorded consumption if any,<br /> whichever is higher shall be compared with the <br /> consumption as under higher of the two figures <br /> shall be charged to set the consumer's account rightly<br /> finally."<br /> <br /> 7. Considering the lapse of opposite party Board about delayed intimation and erroneous assessment of average consumption recorded in Ex.R3 and R4, we order that average consumption of two bills of the corressponding year 2006 be made basis for calculation and the amount already recovered in exces on that basis be adjusted in ensuing bill.
