ORDER

Consumer Disputes Redressal Forums consumer case(CC) CC/07/2 Of 2007 Tarlok Singh Complainant Versus PSEB. Respondent For Complainant Sh.Charanjit Singh For Respondent Sh.K.S.Bawa The present complaint under Section 12 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 as amnded upto date has been filed by Tarlok Singh complainant against PSEB and others for quashing impugned bill dated 12.1.2007 amounting to Rs.16,150.00 being illegal, null, void and contrary to the Regulations of the Board and also for monetary compenstion on account of deficiency in service on the part of the opposite parties. Thi case was contested by the opposite parties. After hering both the parties the complaint was admitted vide judgment dated 8.10.2007 the bill in question was quashed to the extent of Rs.15,000.00 as sundry charges and allowances and the opposite parties are directed to refund Rs.5500.00 deposited by the complainant t in compliance of others dated 25.1.2007 of the Forum alongwith interest at the rate of 12 per cent from the date of deposit till realisation. Opposite parties are further directed to pay Rs.1000.00 as monetary compensation on account of mental agony and harassment due to deficiency in service on their part and Rs.500.00 as costs of litigtion which would be paid to the complainant within a period of one month from the receipt of copy of the judgment.
