ORDER BY HON’BLE PRESIDENT- MR. P.K. PADHI:
JUDGMENT
Complainant has field the consumer complaint U/s.35 of Consumer Protection Act, 2019 seeking direction to reconnect the electric connection and pay cost of Rs.20,000/-.
Notice to opposite parties was send and opposite party No.1 has field his written version stating that he electric connection is stands in the name of opposite party No.1 and consumed by complainant and there is dispute over the property and complainant is not paying the electricity bill for which opposite party No.1 is suffering. Since the complainant has used the electricity standing in the name of opposite party No.1, she is liable to pay the bill which she has consumed. Since the electricity stands in the name of opposite party No.1 and the same is objected by the opposite parties.
We cannot treat the complainant as a consumer as defined U/s.2(7) of Consumer Protection Act. Since complainant is not coming within the purview of Consumer Protection Act, 2019 the consumer complaint is dismissed and also I.A. No.17/2024 is vacated. No cost.
