ORDER

Judgment/Order:

Pasighat Merchant association in its complaint stated that they had been deprived of live telecast of solar eclipse due to non supply of electricity in market area.

Both the party present. After hearing, it was observed that since live telecast of solar eclipse was an important programme, the power dept. should have manage power supply for the particular time period by sending WT to AE Yumbung in-charge of Yumbung hydro power station. Thereby the power dept.exhibited deficiency of service to its consumers. Accordingly the opp. party is directed to pay compensation of Rs.3000 to the complainant. With this the case is disposed.
