Final Order / Judgement

Present:

For Smt.Malkit Kaur, complainant:                     Sh.Nasib Bawa, Advocate

For PNB Metlife                                         None

For PNB Bank respondents No.2 and 3:     Sh.Vinay Kashyap, Advocate.

Ld.counsel  for the complainant has stated that Smt.Malkiat Kaur  complainant has filed Revision Petition No. 3018 of 2018 before Hon’ble National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, New Delhi against the order of Hon’ble Punjab State Commission, Chandigarh which is pending for final adjudication.  She has also placed on file  the copy of one interim order dated 01.09.2020 passed by  Hon’ble National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, New Delhi.

Since the matter is pending before Hon’ble National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, New Delhi for final adjudication, so the present Misc. Application is ordered to be filed. However, the parties are given liberty to file the fresh application after the decision of the Revision Petition of Hon’ble National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, New Delhi, if they so desires.

Perusal of the file further shows that  in compliance with order dated 25.07.2018 of Hon’ble State Commission, Punjab, Chandigarh,  a cheque bearing No.966857 dated 28.11.2018  for Rs.27,897/- in favour of District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Moga payable at State Bank of India, in the above noted case,  has been received from Hon’ble State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Punjab, Chandigarh and as per the office report, it was deposited  in the relevant saving bank account of this office on 02.01.2019. Since the Revision Petition before Hon’ble National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, New Delhi may take time, so to avoid the loss of bank interest of the concerned party, the requisite amount which is lying deposited in the Saving Bank account of this office alongwith interest accrued thereon (as applicable today), is ordered to  be kept in the shape of FDR till further order.  Copy of this order be supplied to the parties free of cost and thereafter the file be consigned to record room after compliance.
