1. Today proprietor of OP appeared and stated that he wants to pay principal amount i.e. Rs. 474/- alongwith Rs. 500/- as compensation to the Complainant to settle the matter amicably. OP is directed to pay Rs. 1000/- to the Complainant but complainant refused to accept the same though it has been observed to be a fair and just proposal. OP is therefore directed to make the Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- and sent it to the complainant’s address mentioned in the complaint. OP submitted that when the complaint was filed on the Hon’ble National Consumer helpline portal, he had there and then offered to refund the principal amount but complainant filed the present complaint for undue monetary enrichment, such an outlook to view courts of law as money making devices is highly depreciated.
2. Let this Order be complied with by OP within 30 days of receipt of copy of this Order.
3. Let the copy of this order be made available to both parties on application for free certified copy under the name of President of this Commission as per guidelines of Hon’ble  SCDRC.
4. Announced on 17.07.2023.
