Dated the 3rd day of August, 2012 ORDER Vide order dated 5.7.2012 passed in FA/194/2012, the Hon’ble State Commission, U.T. Chandigarh, was pleased to stay the operation of the impugned order subject to deposit of 50% of the total amount awarded by this Forum, with the concerned District Forum, within 20 days from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order, including the amount already deposited, at the time of filing the appeal. The certified copy of order was received by OP on 9.7.2012. The present application was filed on 1.8.2012 to deposit of the 50% amount. The application is beyond the period permitted by the Hon’ble State Commission, U.T. Chandigarh. So, without prejudice to the rights of the complainant, it is ordered that draft bearing No.005094, dated 28.7.2012 for Rs.10,98,557/- drawn in favour of President, District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum-II, Chandigarh, on Axis Bank Ltd. be deposited in the account of District Forum, in the shape of FDR in a Nationalized Bank, having maximum interest, for a period of one year to be renewed from time to time, if needed. The application stands disposed of accordingly. Copy of this order be placed on record of the Execution Petition file, if any. Certified copy of this order be communicated to the parties free of cost. After compliance file be consigned.
