ORDER

SRI. P. V. JAYARAJAN:  PRESIDENT

This complaint is filed under Sec. 35 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the matter stood over to this date for consideration.  After hearing the matter this Commission passed an order as follows:

This is a complaint filed by the complainant against the opposite party alleging deficiency in service on the part of the opposite party.  After admitting the complaint notice was issued to the opposite party.  Opposite party entered appearance on 05.06.2024 and filed written version denying the allegations raised by the complainant.  Both parties submitted that there is a chance of settlement and hence the matter was referred for mediation.  When the case came up for consideration today both parties were present and submitted that the matter is settled. A compromise memo signed by both parties was also filed before this Commission.  As per the compromise the opposite party agreed to pay Rs. 2,000/- to the complainant.  As per the settlement the opposite party paid Rs. 2,000/- through GPay to the complainant and the complainant has acknowledged the same.  The compromise memo signed by the parties to the proceedings is accepted and recorded.  In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties to the proceedings, we find that this is a fit case to be dismissed as settled.

In the result, the complaint is dismissed as settled.  There will be no order as to costs.

A copy of this order as per the statutory requirements be forwarded to the parties free of charge and thereafter the file be consigned to the record room.

Dictated to the Confidential Assistant, transcribed by her, corrected by me and pronounced in the Open Court, this the 15th day of June 2024.
